Job Summary : Van-Kam Freightways is currently seeking a Red Seal certified Truck Mechanic to join our team.

The shift time for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

About Us : Van-Kam Freightways Ltd.

• Van Kam is one of the largest regional carriers in Western Canada, specializing in less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation.

With 8 terminal locations across British Columbia, we fulfill shipments to communities within 1-3 days throughout BC and Alberta.

Our coverage extends beyond Western Canada into the U.S. and Eastern Canada through our own resources and partner network.

Responsibilities :

1. Diagnose and repair truck components.
2. Conduct routine maintenance tasks.
3. Repair or replace damaged truck parts and components.
4. Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed on each truck.
5. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex truck issues.
6. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on trucks.

Required Qualifications :

• Red Seal Certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A strong customer service attitude.

Salary : Red Seal - $41.62/hr ($36.62/hr plus a $5.00/hr tool allowance)
