Job description

Fountain Tire Dawson Creek is looking for a responsible, experienced, and safety-conscious associate to join our team as a Commercial Tire Technician.

Compensation: $22-$25 / hour based on experience + commission for after-hours jobs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, balance, and rotate passenger and light truck tires and wheels
  • Complete and maintain a variety of safety courses including WHMIS, TIA, Rim Safety course, and Customer Experience Standards
  • The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
  • Maintain tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Complete specialty tire work, which could include studding, retread, run-flat, nitrogen, etc.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
  • Pride in the work you've done keeping your customers safe and on the road, site, or field!

Working conditions:

  • A team environment where hard work, concise communication, and clear heads are rewarded
  • Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 55 lbs is required
  • This work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy, etc., and we need someone who will be up for the challenge
  • This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling

Qualifications:

  • We would like to find an experienced tire professional, however, we are willing to train the right candidate!
  • A valid driver's license is a must. We also need to see that you are responsible on the road by providing a satisfactory driver's abstract
  • Excellent customer service skills and a great attitude are essential
