Job summary

Kal Tire in Edson, AB is hiring a Commercial Tire Technician to perform tire installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial vehicles. This full-time, permanent role offers training in the city and opportunities for after-hours service calls to earn extra hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial tire installation, repair and maintenance is an asset but not required.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrating a safety-first mindset by adhering to PPE and safety protocols.

In this hands-on role, you'll perform tire installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial vehicles, delivering top-quality service while upholding the highest safety standards. Training & Career Development:

Selected candidates will attend a 5-day training program in the city, approximately 2 hours from Edson. Kal Tire will cover transportation, accommodation, and lunch during the training.

After-Hours Service Opporutnity

After-hours commercial service calls, providing an opportunity to earn additional paid hours while building valuable roadside and field-service experience. After-hours work is dependent on business needs and service calls received at the location.

• Perform inspections and maintenance, including checking inflation, tread wear, and overall condition to ensure tire safety, efficiency, and performance
• Communicate services performed by providing insights and recommendations for repairs and maintenance to improve vehicle performance
• Deliver professional fleet, roadside, and off-site tire services for commercial vehicles, minimizing downtime with fast and efficient support
• Adhere to Kal Tire’s safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial tire installation, repair, and maintenance is considered an asset but not required
• Hold a valid driver’s license for on-site service and roadside assistance tasks
• Excelling in a physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height and perform tasks efficiently
• Demonstrating a safety-first mindset by adhering to all safety protocols, wearing required PPE, and promoting a secure workplace culture
• Possessing strong technical skills and a proactive approach to solving tire and equipment challenges
