Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Commercial Tire Technician for our Edson, AB store to install, repair, rotate, and balance tires for commercial vehicles, delivering safe, high-quality service in a collaborative team environment.

You’ll begin with a 5‑day training program in a city about 2 hours from Edson, with transportation, lodging, and lunch covered by Kal Tire. After-hours service opportunities offer additional paid hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial tire installation, repair, and maintenance is an asset but not required.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for on-site service and roadside tasks.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a demanding environment.
• Demonstrates a safety-first mindset and adheres to PPE and safety protocols.
• Possesses strong technical skills and a proactive approach to tire challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintenance to ensure tire safety and performance.
• Communicate service performed and provide recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
• Deliver professional fleet, roadside, and off-site tire services for commercial vehicles.

In this hands-on role, you'll perform tire installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial vehicles, delivering top-quality service while upholding the highest safety standards. Training & Career Development: Selected candidates will attend a 5-day training program in the city, approximately 2 hours from Edson. Kal Tire will cover transportation, accommodation, and lunch during the training.

After-Hours Service Opporutnity: After-hours commercial service calls, providing an opportunity to earn additional paid hours while building valuable roadside and field-service experience. After-hours work is dependent on business needs and service calls received at the location.

• Communicate services performed by providing insights and recommendations for repairs and maintenance to improve vehicle performance
• Deliver professional fleet, roadside, and off-site tire services for commercial vehicles, minimizing downtime with fast and efficient support
• Adhere to Kal Tire’s safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence

Qualifications

• Excelling in a physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height and perform tasks efficiently

• Possessing strong technical skills and a proactive approach to solving tire and equipment challenges
