Job summary

Tirecraft Ayr, Ayr ON, is seeking a tire technician to install, balance, rotate, and repair tires at commercial locations and roadside assignments. The role is hands-on, often on the road, with a supportive team at the shop and opportunities for on-call pay.

You will earn an hourly wage of $22.00–$28.00 based on experience, with benefits such as health and dental coverage, an EAP, and employee programs. A valid driver’s license and a Commercial Wheel Installer Certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required or preferred with clean abstract.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tires and heavy equipment.
• Strong communication with customers and team members is essential.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Commercial Sales Consultants/Service Advisors to obtain work orders and requirements.
• Install, balance, rotate and repair tires at commercial locations and roadside locations.
• Respond to after-hours emergency roadside service calls for commercial fleets.
• Complete documentation/work orders accurately and on time.
• Deliver tire maintenance programs by visiting assigned locations for fleet checks.
• Maintain service vehicles, shop, and equipment in a clean, safe condition.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Commercial Sales Consultants and/or Service Advisors to obtain work orders and commercial customer service specific requirements
• Install, balance, rotate and repair tires at commercial customer locations and roadside locations in a safe and efficient manner
• Conduct after hour’s emergency roadside service calls for commercial fleet customers
• Accurately complete all documentation/paperwork in relation to service work and work orders
• Deliver customer tire maintenance program by visiting assigned locations to complete fleet checks
• Ensure service vehicles, the shop and all equipment are maintained in a safe, neat, and clean manner always
• Conduct efficient Receiving/Shipping of all inventories that enters and leaves the shop
• Professionally interact and communicate with Commercial Customers
• Assist Passenger Light Truck Tire Technicians as required

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Commercial Wheel Installer Certificate preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and previous exposure to commercial fleet vehicles
• Interest in further expanding knowledge about the tire industry
• Well-developed communication skills
