Position Summary:
Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Commercial Roofing Foreman are hardworking leaders who want to learn and grow in their careers. The Commercial Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of the field installers assigned to their crew. They will lead a team of roofers installing commercial roofing products and systems with the highest quality, safety, and cost-efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect roofs for damages and leaks.
  2. Perform roof repairs as needed.
  3. Complete field inspections.
  4. Develop a scope of work with a budget.
  5. Organize a materials list.
  6. Provide training, leadership, and direction to field employees.
  7. Train employees on safety procedures and equipment.
  8. Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs, quality, and safety.
  9. Ensure proper utilization of materials and equipment.
  10. Plan, administer, and participate in company-sponsored training programs.
  11. Promote proper work ethic and enforce company policies.
  12. Clean rooftops by snow removal, ice removal, and debris clearing.
  13. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Proficient in PC software applications including Word and Excel.
  4. Knowledge of blueprint reading and specifications.
  5. Valid driver's license.
  6. Extensive knowledge of various roofing products and systems.
  7. Advanced planning skills for workforce, materials, and equipment productivity.
  8. Ability to interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and regulations.
  9. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  10. Basic mathematical skills.
  11. Starting pay ranges from $28-$38 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands:

While performing this job, employees will use hands, talk, hear, stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, kneel, and stoop. They must frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus!
