Position Summary

The Commercial Planner plays a vital role within the newly established Commercial Centre of Excellence, supporting Corby’s performance goals.

This role is the subject matter expert for managing demand forecasts, translating regional data into market-level demand planning, and championing data-driven performance management processes.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, a strong communicator, analytical, action-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Develop a 21-month rolling demand forecast by region and SKU using historical data, market trends, and promotion performance.
  2. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate insights and reach consensus on demand forecasts.
  3. Contribute to the S&OP process by providing demand insights and projections.
  4. Analyze demand variability against KPIs like forecast accuracy and bias, and implement course corrections.
  5. Work with teams to integrate new products into demand forecasts.
  6. Manage SKU listings within markets in collaboration with Regional Sales.
  7. Use advanced forecasting tools and statistical techniques to improve accuracy.
  8. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
  9. Identify and propose process improvements in demand planning.
  10. Understand market dynamics, channels, and regulations to reflect accurately in demand plans.
  11. Share best practices in demand planning across teams.
  12. Work comfortably with large data sets, demonstrating advanced Excel and statistical skills.

Education & Experience

  • Experience in data storytelling and technical proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power BI and TPM systems is an asset.
  • Strategic thinking skills to interpret market performance and develop recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Financial Analysis, or Nielsen systems is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail, initiative, and energy.
  • Understanding of the wine and spirits industry is a plus.
