ROLE :

The Commercial Performance team plays an integral role within our Sales Intelligence department by interpreting performance data with analytical takeaways and providing recommendations. It is a highly visible position, working closely with senior leaders of the organization and various cross-functional work groups. The team is responsible for leading brand and segment analysis for the Labatt Portfolio on a national level. They provide regular updates to senior management on the state of the business and give recommendations on future strategic actions to optimize volume and market share results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leads deep dive / ad hoc analysis on evolving share, volume and segment issues and recommends appropriate action plans
  • Analyzes impact of sales & marketing performance drivers : distribution, displays, features, space, price dynamics, brand health, media spend to develop insights & recommendations
  • Transforms insights into recommendations to through simple, visual, and action-oriented deliverables that drives common understanding and aligns stakeholders
  • Liaises regularly with key marketing, sales and insights stakeholders
  • Understands competitive threats and results of actions in the marketplace

Job Qualifications And Competencies

  • University Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years in field intelligence insights experience within consumer packaged goods industry
  • Consumer Packaged goods, beer, wine, or spirits industry experience an asset
  • Work well independently with limited supervision and with tight timelines
  • Communication skills, be persuasive and can build strong relationships
  • Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced excel a must have
  • Understanding of trade math (ROI, margin, markup, days inventory)
  • Results Oriented, Strong business acumen, Strategic thinker
  • Data Management and mining
