Job summary

Systech in Toronto is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial team on major infrastructure projects across Canada. Travel is required with a 6:1 rotation, in a client-facing consultancy environment.

You will establish commercial processes, mentor a team, and manage the contract framework while focusing on commercial performance. The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ infrastructure experience, familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts, and strong leadership and communication skills to

Role

We have several exciting opportunities available for Commercial Managers who are able to travel across Canada and have the flexibility to be away from home on a 6:1 rotation.

As a Commercial Manager you will provide leadership to the commercial team, establishing commercial processes and procedures alongside major main contractors. You will have a proven ability to lead and mentor a team, implementing new procedures and strategies alongside a history in a senior commercial position on major infrastructure projects. This is a consultancy role and you must therefore be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a client facing environment.

Responsibilities

Individual

• Must have a strong interest in working in Canada
• Minimum of 5 years’ major infrastructure experience
• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying (or similar, a 2:1 or higher preferred)
• A Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (preferred)
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Presentable and articulate
• Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
