Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and servicing a wide variety of secured and unsecured loans or lines of credit, involving large sums and important customers.
  2. Attending to the needs of customers seeking loans or lines of credit on significant unsecured or collateral-backed terms.
  3. Interviewing applicants to gather information about their businesses, needs, and financial status to assess risk.
  4. Guiding the credit department or junior officers in analyzing financial data for new or renewed loans.
  5. Making loan decisions within established limits or recommending actions to superiors.
  6. Monitoring existing loans and credit lines for compliance with terms.
  7. Providing financial advice to customers and prospects.
  8. Studying business environments related to new or existing clients.
  9. Recommending financial and organizational structures, locations, and other relevant matters.
  10. Participating with senior officers on larger loans and credit lines.
  11. Keeping informed about the status of department loans.
  12. Calling on potential or existing customers to develop and retain business.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with credit documentation and risk evaluation.
  • Ability to perform general office duties and maintain supplies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and due diligence requirements.
  • Participation in educational opportunities to update knowledge.
  • Understanding of bank operations and the credit process.
  • Strong organizational, reasoning, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.

Experience: At least five years in commercial lending (C&I and Commercial Real Estate), with a successful record in developing and closing new business, preferably in our market.
