About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, sales-focused Account Manager with strong time management and organizational skills. This role is within a professional, fast-paced environment and is newly created within the SME Department to support the "Project Elevate" initiative, aimed at growing HUB's small business segment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the sales lifecycle by understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Negotiate coverage and pricing with insurers to provide optimal solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, carrier partners, underwriters, and clients to facilitate efficient submissions.
  • Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and monitor insurance submissions, proposals, and summaries as needed.
  • Support the Account Assistant team with client administration when required.
  • Advocate for clients during claims processes and engage with the claims team on critical issues.
  • Achieve new business growth and client retention targets.
  • Support cross-selling and up-selling initiatives.
  • Assist the SME Team with additional tasks such as vacation coverage, renewals, and program support.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) license required.
  • Typically 2+ years of experience in the industry or a related product line, preferably in commercial risk.
  • Client-focused with a commitment to delivering positive customer experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Responsive, with a sense of urgency and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for new business development and closing sales.
  • Team player capable of collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
