Our client, a dynamic organization within the insurance industry, offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their Grand Rapids, Michigan office. Known for innovation in commercial and personal insurance, as well as specialty risk management, this company empowers clients with tailored solutions that deliver real value. This role provides a chance to lead client interactions, consult on complex insurance portfolios, and drive business growth while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Accompany Producers on client visits and independently lead meetings to consult clients on coverage, exclusions, and exposures.
  • Round out client accounts to secure new lines of business and ensure proactive service schedules are maintained.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, insurance summaries, and presentations according to agency standards.
  • Market client accounts with carrier partners, designing and implementing tailored placement strategies.
  • Conduct coverage and pricing analysis, including cost and exposure comparisons for all lines of coverage.
  • Manage client concerns and build productive relationships with carrier partners to address needs effectively.
  • Ensure operational procedures, systems, and industry regulations are adhered to for client accounts.
  • Participate in professional development, team training, and carrier meetings to enhance expertise and foster collaboration.

Must-Have Skills :

  • Holds an MI Property and Casualty license.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing large and captive commercial accounts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, or CRM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel, for data entry and document creation.
