Job summary

Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Services Associate to join our Business Services team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in commercial lending, financial analysis, risk management, and industry evaluation, with opportunities for progression after a 6–10 month training period.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in commerce, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or business administration preferred.
• Reading and interpreting financial statements.
• Strong accuracy, member focus and results orientation.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Demonstrated interest in financial services and commercial banking.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply the fundamentals of commercial lending, including credit analysis, risk assessment, and industry research.
• Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to support client needs and develop customized financial solutions.
• Analyze financial statements and assess borrower risk profiles to support lending decisions.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal credit presentations and documentation.
• Support the onboarding and servicing of commercial members
• Learn and apply the fundamentals of Cambrian Commercial products and service offerings to effectively communicate their features and benefits to members and co-workers.

Education
