Job Summary

The Commercial Insurance Manager will be responsible for leading and expanding our commercial insurance portfolio. This role involves overseeing a team of insurance professionals, developing strategic growth initiatives, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure continued success in the commercial insurance market across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Growth : Develop and implement strategies to expand the commercial insurance portfolio, targeting new clients and markets throughout Ontario while retaining existing accounts.
• Team Leadership : Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of commercial insurance brokers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored insurance solutions that align with Ontario’s commercial landscape.
• Sales and Business Development : Leverage a proven sales background to drive revenue growth, identify opportunities, and close high-value deals in the Ontario market.
• Compliance and Licensing : Ensure all activities adhere to Ontario insurance regulations and maintain an active RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license.
• Market Analysis : Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities specific to Ontario to position My Hunter competitively.
• Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance, team productivity, and growth metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience : 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial insurance in Ontario.
• Licensing : Active RIBO license required.
• Sales Expertise : Demonstrated success in commercial insurance sales with a validated track record of meeting or exceeding targets in the Ontario market.
• Leadership Skills : Strong ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
• Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze market trends, financial data, and performance metrics to drive strategic decisions within Ontario’s commercial insurance sector.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Insurance designations are also a plus(CIP, CRM, CAIB etc.)
