Trinity Communications Services, a subsidiary of Bird Construction, is a diversified Inside and Outside Plant infrastructure build contractor, servicing major telecommunication and utility companies across Ontario. With a reputation for unparalleled standards and a strong presence in the GTA for 35 years, Trinity is looking to add a Commercial Installation Technician to its growing team.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Plan and execute cable routing from exterior or interior signal sources and install necessary TV or internet services for commercial accounts.
  • Install and troubleshoot all models of Rogers Cable Digital Boxes.
  • Install and troubleshoot Rogers Cable High-Speed Modems.
  • Install and troubleshoot Rogers Cable Telephone Modems.
  • Install and troubleshoot Rogers Cable Managed Routers.
  • Install and troubleshoot various cables including Cat 3, 5, 5e, 6, RG6, RG11, and Flex 500.
  • Install and troubleshoot telephone lines and jacks.
  • Inspect and test telecommunications equipment operation.
  • Diagnose and locate faults, and repair or replace telecommunications equipment.
  • Operate testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Determine the nature and location of service troubles.
  • Assist repair personnel in testing lines, isolating faults, and verifying records.
  • Splice and repair various telecommunication cables.
  • Inspect transmission lines for faults and test transmission characteristics.
  • Analyze and record test results.
  • Maintain inventory of materials, modems, and digital boxes.
  • Perform regular maintenance of work vehicle.
  • Adhere to Rogers Cable KPIs.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers.
  • Perform other duties as required by the departmental manager.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience in telecommunications, security, or communications is an asset.
  • Ability to carry and climb with a 28-foot extension ladder weighing 65 lbs.
  • Ability to carry equipment over 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfort working at various heights.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
