In this role, you will be responsible for leading business analytics and insights that will support independent strategic insights/recommendations and for building capabilities on skills for better data-driven decisions for the assigned brands. Our aim is to grow the Canadian Pharma presence across Canada by increasing market share and sales in the relevant Therapeutic Area (Respiratory, Vaccines, Specialty Care/Medical and Oncology portfolio) with a best-in-market Data Analytic and Insights. You will be working in a complex environment to manage the collaboration with other areas of the business to pull together a broad aspect of deep insights from Digital Analytics, Medical, Brand, Market Research, Sales, IT/AI as well as all external parties.

Primary Activities
- Accountable for acting as the single point of contact for Data Analytics and Insights for the respective BU on the 3 pillars of business intelligence i.e. Core Forecasting, Salesforce Effectiveness and Commercial Analytics & Insights that will support independent Strategic Insights/Recommendations for the assigned brands.
- Accountable for communicating and engaging with internal partners on Data Analytics and Insights on behalf of BI Team in key Leadership meetings (Business Reviews, Business annual & long-range Planning, Launch and Excellence, Demand Review meetings, etc.).
Forecasting
- Accountable to rigorously oversee the documentation of forecast assumptions/market insights collected from across the BU and ensure integrity of assumptions across forecasting deliverables with the Forecasting Specialists and Market Research & Insights Managers.
- Accountable for communicating high quality forecasts, accurate risks and opportunities with timely completion of forecasting deliverables for the assigned brands in key meetings/deliverables:
Salesforce Effectiveness
- Proactively lead, monitor, assess, communicate and manage.
- Identify and lead the BU analytical strategy related to Salesforce Effectiveness. Identify opportunities to accelerate performance.
- Adoption of the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your designated brands.
Commercial Analytics & Strategic Insights
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the business on critical business assumptions, strategy, positioning and market definition.
- Understands forecast key sales drivers, risks and opportunities. Keep abreast of pharmaceutical industry, therapeutic area, and internal GSK developments, which could impact on forecast drivers.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of comprehensive, accurate, high quality commercial analytics to identify opportunities and provide the foundational support of business decisions and performance monitoring.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- University degree in Business or Science.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience with proven record of high-performance in areas such as: forecasting, market research, marketing functions, finance & supply, or other analytical function preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong communication and influencing (without authority) skills to ensure an objective representation of ideas and opinions, and a ‘challenger’ to the status quo.
- Proven record of influence with senior stakeholders using data-driven decision approach.
- Highly agile learner with a solution-based mindset, able to assimilate and prioritize a broad range of business issues and needs associated with senior stakeholders within the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interactions with high-profile stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Advanced University degrees are desirable (Preferred Master or PH.D level Degree like MBA, PH.D., M. Biotech, etc.).
- Advanced understanding of Pharma product strategies and organizational dynamics and how they impact on the forecast processes.
- Experience in Specialty medicines and Oncology.
- Extensive experience with demonstrated knowledge and understanding within the following areas: Brand Strategy, New Product Launch, Marketing Communication, Promotions, Media Planning and Market Research experience required.
