Position Summary:

Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service Technicians are skilled professionals eager to grow in their careers. This position involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC-R systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC-R systems.
2. Start-up of installed commercial HVAC-R systems.
3. Perform regular maintenance and servicing of commercial HVAC units.
4. Ensure compliance with HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
5. Participate in on-call duties as required.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Ability to learn and follow supervisor instructions.
• EPA certification or willingness to obtain within a month of starting.
• Additional certifications such as NATE, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background are a plus but not required.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying temperatures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Starting pay ranges from $25 to $42+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands

While performing duties, employees will use hands, talk, and hear. The job requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, and kneeling. Employees must frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
