About the job:

The Financial Analysis (FA) Professional is an experienced financial analyst with a proven ability to develop financial evaluation tools aligned with BC Hydro’s priorities and to provide strategic feedback. The Commercial Negotiations and Financial Analysis (CNFA) team develops advanced analytical tools for evaluating contracts and projects, managing transactions, and supporting treasury functions with financial analytics like Monte Carlo analysis. The FA collaborates across departments, prepares financial models, and works to improve evaluation processes, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.

What you’ll do

• Understand BC Hydro’s business and regulatory environment, including operations, assets, and contracts.
• Utilize analytical tools, financial modeling, and structuring relevant to capital planning and business performance.
• Manage financial instruments, risk, and credit analysis.
• Support internal clients with transactions, projects, and strategies.
• Build relationships across teams, communicate analysis results clearly, and support decision-making.
• Contribute to a culture of analytics excellence and ensure consistency in evaluations.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free work environment.
