Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Dwelling Engineer to join our Heating & District Energy team in West London. You will service, maintain and repair HIUs, communal heating systems and district networks across residential properties and mixed-use developments.

The role requires strong HIU servicing skills, fault finding, and knowledge of Y Plan and S Plan controls, with a minimum of three years' district heating experience. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• HIU servicing, fault finding, and district heating experience required.

• WRAS-approved water treatment operative training.
• Asbestos Awareness training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commercial Dwelling Engineer

Location: West London

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Dwelling Engineer to join our Commercial Heating & District Energy Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning Heat Interface Units (HIUs), communal heating systems and district heating networks across residential properties and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HIUs and communal heating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults with heating controls, pumps, valves and radiators.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning and system balancing.
• Maintain accurate job records and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Plumbing qualifications.
• Formal Water Regulations and WRAS-approved water treatment operative training.
• Minimum three years' district heating experience.
• Strong HIU servicing, repair and fault-finding experience.
• Knowledge of Y Plan and S Plan heating controls.
• Asbestos Awareness training.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable: G3 qualification, low-temperature heating training and HIU manufacturer certifications.
