Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Contract Management: Oversee administration of major EPC contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements; ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Risk & Claims Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks; lead claims preparation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
  • Financial Oversight: Support cost forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial reporting in collaboration with finance and project controls teams.
  • Change Management: Manage commercial impacts of scope changes and variations; maintain rigorous change control processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary commercial interface with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies; provide executive-level reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of contract administrators, quantity surveyors, and commercial managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years in commercial management for large-scale infrastructure or energy projects; nuclear or major EPC experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation, claims management, and dispute resolution on projects exceeding $1B.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement strategies, and commercial risk management.
  • Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract frameworks.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kincardine 3 days per week (expenses to be covered by the company); experience in regulated environments is an asset.

We welcome applicants with international nuclear project experience, particularly from the UK, as their expertise is highly valued for this role. Relocation to Canada is required and can be supported on a case-by-case basis.
