Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Deepen client relationships by understanding clients’ businesses, being a client champion, providing administrative support/service for client-facing interactions and providing actionable recommendations to support credit decisions.
  2. Conduct company and industry analysis.
  3. Conduct financial modelling (financial and credit analysis).
  4. Collect and assimilate information necessary to make sound credit decisions.
  5. Make it easy to do business by minimizing touch points to provide fast turnaround times, including sound and timely credit underwriting support and financial analysis.
  6. Support the collection of information directly from clients and from various sources necessary to assess the client’s risk profile in order to ensure the Bank meets its regulatory requirements related to KYC, AML, etc.
  7. Credit related tasks:
    1. Contact clients for financial reporting and spread Financial Statements, Projections and Borrowing bases, review results, escalate any signs of deterioration and update appropriate systems.
    2. Significantly assist or be responsible for the preparation of Credit Presentations for new and existing clients.
    3. Assist or take lead with completion of conditions precedent, diligence and any other requirements necessary to obtain approvals.
    4. Ensure client files are complete and appropriately documented in various systems such as SDR, e-tracker etc.
    5. Provide general support as necessary in the annual review process and other credit-related situations needed to maintain portfolio quality.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

  1. You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, in order to develop and maintain relationships with Commercial business customers.
  2. You are enrolled in an MBA or undergrad degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  3. You have strong knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  4. You have prior experience in providing customer needs-based advice and solutions.
  5. You have natural curiosity and passion for satisfying customer needs.
  6. You have analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  7. You are able to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
  8. You have problem-solving skills.
  9. You have presentation skills.
  10. You have the ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
