The Opportunity
A reputable and collaborative insurance brokerage is looking to add a Commercial Account Manager to their Alberta team. This position offers the opportunity to partner directly with a highly experienced and well-respected Commercial Account Executive who has been with the firm for over two decades. The role has opened due to the internal promotion of the previous account manager into a leadership position—a reflection of the company's strong culture of career growth and development.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client service, supporting a wide variety of commercial insurance needs, and helping to maintain strong client and market relationships.
What You’ll Do
Provide day-to-day service and support for a portfolio of commercial clients in collaboration with the Account Executive
Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, renewals, and endorsements
Review coverage options, assess client needs, and help maintain up-to-date client information and files
Liaise with insurers to negotiate renewals, endorsements, and favorable terms on behalf of clients
Prepare and manage all required documentation including applications, certificates, invoices, and claims follow-up
Ensure timely and professional communication with clients, underwriters, and adjusters
Stay current on market trends, insurer products, and industry best practices
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience, ideally in property, casualty, and auto lines
Valid Level 2 General Insurance License (Alberta)
A strong customer service focus and a professional, solution-oriented mindset
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience working with EPIC or similar broker management systems is an asset
