Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of office experience.
  • Commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Level 2 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain.

What the Role Entails :

  • Assist the Commercial Insurance Account Executive
  • Provide prompt service to customers, offering advice, explaining insurance options, and addressing concerns
  • Receive and process all incoming commercial insurance paperwork
  • Assist with quotes, review existing coverage, and update customer files
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications, and issue insurance certificates
  • Handle endorsements, invoices, and follow up on payments
  • Communicate with insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters, and follow up on claims
  • Gather additional information requested by underwriters and complete applications
  • Participate in billing, answer client calls regarding payments

The Successful Candidate Will Have :

  • High School diploma or post-secondary education
  • 2-5 years of office experience
  • Commercial insurance experience (asset)
  • Level 2 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with Epic (asset)
  • Previous sales experience (asset)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
