POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Mitchell & Abbott Group is seeking experienced Commercial Account Managers who are expert advisors in commercial lines insurance. The successful candidate will manage a book of business, service clients professionally, and assist the producer in acquiring, maintaining, and expanding business.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
  1. Manage a renewal book of business.
  2. Collaborate with Producers and staff on client service, marketing, and renewal processes, following company best practices.
  3. Initiate account planning 100 days before renewal dates.
  4. Maintain a retention rate of 95% or higher.
  5. Provide same-day responses to clients and partners.
  6. Coordinate and support plans with Producers, addressing issues and creating client strategies.
  7. Develop new business from existing accounts and leads, pursuing cross-selling opportunities.
  8. Prepare proposals for prospecting and stewardship reviews.
  9. Manage account documentation such as inquiries, quotes, binders, and contracts.
  10. Review client coverage, exposures, and risk to determine needs.
  11. Keep EPIC workflow documentation current and ensure adherence to processes.
  12. Ensure accurate servicing and billing of accounts.
  13. Participate in cross-sell campaigns and other initiatives.
  14. Enhance knowledge of insurance products and client needs.
  15. Attend or lead client meetings as needed.
  16. Engage in training and professional development.
  17. Maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
  2. University degree preferred.
  3. R.I.B.O license required.
  4. Working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  6. Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
  7. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC.
