POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Mitchell & Abbott Group is seeking experienced Commercial Account Managers who are expert advisors in commercial lines insurance. The successful candidate will manage a book of business, service clients professionally, and assist the producer in acquiring, maintaining, and expanding business.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage a renewal book of business.
- Collaborate with Producers and staff on client service, marketing, and renewal processes, following company best practices.
- Initiate account planning 100 days before renewal dates.
- Maintain a retention rate of 95% or higher.
- Provide same-day responses to clients and partners.
- Coordinate and support plans with Producers, addressing issues and creating client strategies.
- Develop new business from existing accounts and leads, pursuing cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare proposals for prospecting and stewardship reviews.
- Manage account documentation such as inquiries, quotes, binders, and contracts.
- Review client coverage, exposures, and risk to determine needs.
- Keep EPIC workflow documentation current and ensure adherence to processes.
- Ensure accurate servicing and billing of accounts.
- Participate in cross-sell campaigns and other initiatives.
- Enhance knowledge of insurance products and client needs.
- Attend or lead client meetings as needed.
- Engage in training and professional development.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
- University degree preferred.
- R.I.B.O license required.
- Working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC.
