An independent brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their commercial team. We are currently working with an independent brokerage based in Croydon who are looking to bolster their current team where they are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler.
This position would be working closely with their Senior Directors, and whilst this role is mainly working internally, there would be the requirement to attend some external client visits where necessary so that you can engage with your portfolio and build the relationship face to face.
Ideally you will need to have a good understanding of the various commercial insurance markets and their underwriting guidelines/capacities, are competent and technically strong on most classes of commercial insurance. It is therefore essential that you can communicate at all levels and have previously worked within a broking/intermediary environment and or commercial broking/account handler role.
This role as commercial account handler would be working within their commercial team where you would be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, having regular contact with the account executives, negotiating broking strategies and obtaining the best possible terms from the market place.
