What You’ll Do

Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Proactively manage a diverse commercial book by identifying coverage gaps, evaluating exposures, and recommending tailored insurance solutions.
  • Handle day-to-day client inquiries, policy changes, certificates, and endorsements in collaboration with your support team that handles administrative duties.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and renewal strategies.
  • Review contracts to ensure insurance programs meet requirements and secure necessary amendments with markets.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and advocate for clients throughout the claims process.

Marketing & Placement

  • Lead the marketing process, preparing comprehensive underwriting submissions and negotiating with insurers to secure optimal terms.
  • Endorse policy wordings based on client needs and maintain accuracy of renewal and manuscript policy documentation.
  • Work closely with major insurers and MGAs to stay ahead of evolving coverage options and market conditions.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of junior staff, providing training and oversight of administrative supportdeliverables.
  • Assist with monitoring outstanding receivables and support procedural compliance in partnership with internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and maintain alignment with compliance standards.

General Administrative

  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic files.
  • Ensure all communications and documentation are timely, professional, and complete.
  • Represent the firm professionally at client meetings and select industry events alongside senior leadership.

What You Bring

  • Level 2 General Insurance License (Alberta)
  • 5–10+ years of commercial insurance experience
  • CAIB, CIP, or FCIP designation (or working toward one)
  • Experience with EPIC
  • Strong working knowledge of key markets and wordings
  • A client-first mindset and the ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism
