As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Diagnostic Imaging, ECG’s and Phlebotomy is required.Required to take call and live within 30 minutes of the facility when on call. (On Call room on site available if needed).Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required.Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential.Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, inter-disciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced, and changing environment.Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required.Candidate must be well organized and flexible.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating and troubleshooting in the past 2 years.Experience in a healthcare setting.Diagnostic Imaging- Kodak 850 CR Reader, Shimadzu X-ray unit and Shimadzu Portable for mobile x-ray, recent DR conversion.ECG-Mac 5500 or Mac Vue 360.Lab- Vitros XT3400, ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex XN-530, Clinitek Status/Advantus, I-Stat, and Triage MeterPro.Computer-Muse, Agfa PACS-PEI, and Connect Care LIS including Caresphere and Wellsky.
