Job description

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is our industry ambassador, showcasing our expertise in color, talent development, technical skills, social media, business acumen, and sales.

Alongside daily sales responsibilities, the CCC / CCS aims to:

• Increase customer retention and loyalty
• Build lasting relationships to enhance brand awareness and market share in hair color
• Utilize market analysis to promote approved beauty products, introduce new offerings, provide customer service, and conduct product education both in-store and virtually
• Offer color & curl / texture consulting services to salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists

This role is essential for driving the color & curl segment, requiring extensive online education and certification.

Primary Duties

You will be the expert in Color & Curl / Texture, with key responsibilities including:

• Assessing customer needs and recommending suitable products and advice
• Communicating with team members, vendors, and customers regarding sales and service activities
• Resolving customer concerns promptly and effectively
• Maintaining high standards of merchandising, signage, and store presentation to reflect brand guidelines
• Staying informed on industry trends and market changes to adapt sales strategies
• Performing store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and bank deposits
• Upholding CosmoProf / BSG Culture Values and company ethics

Experience and Skills Required

• At least one year of retail or sales experience
• Cosmetologist license preferred in US and Canada
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for shows and meetings
• Strong business skills, including sales reporting and inventory control
• Proficiency with POS systems, computers, social media, and mobile devices
• Flexibility to work additional hours and in different locations as needed
• Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire
