Centennial Carstar Truro is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Collision Technician Apprentice!

NOW HIRING: Collision Technician Apprentice

LOCATION:
Centennial Carstar Truro, Truro, NS

HOURS:
Full time, Permanent. Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week.

WAGES:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour (option for flat rate) + benefits. Negotiable based on experience.

APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be enrolled in the apprenticeship program
  • Possess basic knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and capable of multitasking and prioritizing
  • Physically capable (standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.)
  • Reliable and shows initiative
  • Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license

MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prep cars for paint
  • Small dent repairs
  • Light body work
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicles
  • Changing bolt-on parts (i.e., fenders, bumpers, etc.)
  • Assist in detail bays when necessary
  • Other duties as required
  • Possession of own tools (specialty tools provided by the shop as needed).
