If you love solving complex problems with data, this role is for you. As a Collections Strategy Analyst, you'll turn numbers into insights and insights into action. From developing risk models and identifying emerging trends to optimizing collections strategies and forecasting portfolio performance, you'll use data to influence key business decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners, challenge conventional thinking, and help drive better outcomes through analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?

• Data mining, Modelling and Analysis:
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories and recommendations that drive business action and measurable results.
  • Assist leadership by supporting the development of risk models for the purposes of collections strategy.
  • Perform analysis leading to collections strategy optimization, including but not limited to customer risk segmentation development.
  • Partner with Operations, Data, and Technology teams to solve business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Present insights, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization with clarity and confidence.
  • Support strategic initiatives through analysis, problem solving, performance measurement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and serve as a trusted partner in leveraging data to achieve business objectives
• Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Monitor and maintain a comprehensive set of reports to identify delinquency, charge off, and cash collection performance and trends at the vintage and segment levels. Apply observations to loss forecasting models to capture current trends and communicate to leadership to identify risks and opportunities to the forecast.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to understand the impact of exogenous factors, policy and operational changes on delinquency and charge off levels.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that enable leaders to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.

What experience do you have?

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline (an advanced degree is desired).
• Possess a strong knowledge of quantitative methodologies, risk models, and tools.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
• Exhibit superior analytical skills – the ability to understand complex business problems, detect trends, and analyze data to develop solutions.
• Understand data extraction/mining/modeling tools, including SQL; SAS knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Communicate complex information and concepts in understandable terms, tailoring messages and content to the intended audience.
• Ability to adapt to an evolving environment with shifting priorities and the capacity to handle multiple competing demands within tight timelines.
• Experience building dashboards, performance reporting, and data visualizations that support business decision making.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability towork three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga office.

$70,125.00 – $82,500.00 CAD(includes base salary and bonus)
