Job Description

The Part-Time Collections Account Manager is responsible for collecting outstanding balances on various Ritchie Bros. platforms and providing timely resolutions to outstanding accounts. This is a 6-month full-time contract (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

1. Manage early-stage collections on commercial and some consumer accounts
2. Prioritize collection activities within the team
3. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
4. Develop solutions for early defaults and collapses, presenting findings to management
5. Reduce collapse rates
6. Track and report work queue results using Excel and qualitative feedback
7. Negotiate with customers regarding payment timelines, partial payments, default fees, etc.
8. Handle operational issues
9. Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 5 years of collections experience in auto loans, commercial collections, or financial institutions
• Self-motivated with initiative and ability to identify process improvements
• Strong communication skills, including active listening and understanding customer situations
• Excellent phone etiquette and written communication skills
• Probing and questioning skills
