This role provides critical knowledge and support in the preparation, registration and maintenance of collateral securities in servicing National Bank’s Equipment Financing loan portfolio. As an Equipment Financing Collateral Securities Specialist, you will work to support leaders drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.

Your role:

  • Provide consistent credit processing support aligned with the specific requirements of the business line, including preparation, registration, and maintenance of collateral securities.
  • Maintain and enhance processes to ensure reliable and predictable daily credit support outcomes.
  • Meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and uphold quality standards in credit operations.
  • Ensure all contributions to Collateral Securities comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures, supporting the EFG team’s commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Execute work in accordance with National Bank of Canada’s legal, regulatory, and business policies.
  • Manage and maintain collateral files and records, including file vetting.
  • Support EFG team members through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Foster a client-focused, cooperative relationship with the EFG team while maintaining operational efficiency and governance.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct searches and registrations
  • Prepare payout statements for loans and leases
  • Maintain loan and lease schedules
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required
  • Actively participate in team meetings to discuss progress, goals, and challenges

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years credit support experience with solid understanding of collateral securities.
  • Knowledge of equipment financing and/or commercial lending policies, leasing, procedures, regulations, documentation, administration, compliance issues, and audit requirements
  • Technologically proficient in Banking Systems, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders – relationship managers, branch support, and credit operations.
