Job description

A division of Harris, AGO Insurance Software, Inc., is seeking an outgoing Cold Caller who enjoys talking to people. You will need to have a positive attitude and be quick on your feet to respond to prospects appropriately. Good customer relationship management skills as well as persistence are key to your success. Good organizational skills for follow-up will be crucial. If you have an ambitious, positive, can-do attitude, outgoing spirit, and enjoy finding business solutions for others, then this can be a fulfilling job for you.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US, with a preference for EST timezone. It is a 20-hour per week, 4 to 6-month contract with an opportunity to extend.

Typical duties and responsibilities
  1. Cold call P&C Insurance Carrier / MGA Administrator or Operations Manager
  2. Track your contact list provided by the company
  3. Explain products and services to prospects
  4. Keep track of potential prospects for follow-up or no longer want to be contacted
  5. Hand off qualified prospects to the product manager
  6. Meet your goals set forth by the company
  7. Assist with organic growth of the prospect list
Education and experience
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Experience in sales, customer service, or a related field
Required skills and qualifications
  1. Friendly, outgoing personality
  2. Ability to deal with rejection
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Computer and data entry skills
  5. High level of personal accountability
  6. Well organized
  7. Dependable
Preferred qualifications
  1. 1-2 years or more of experience as a cold caller, in sales, or other customer service jobs
  2. The ability to problem solve and think both dynamically and critically
  3. Ability to work under pressure both supervised and unsupervised
  4. Working knowledge of CRM applications

Wage: Up to $25/hr
