Job summary

Element Technical Services in Red Deer, AB is seeking a Coil Tubing Operator to join our field team. You will operate continuous coiled tubing equipment to perform well servicing and transport equipment to sites.

The role requires hands-on oilfield experience, a valid Class 1 Driver’s License, and the ability to work away from home. We offer a signing bonus, competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP matching, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2 years oilfield experience.
• Experience with coiled tubing, drilling or wireline is an asset.
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
• H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, ODA and CSO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use coiled tubing equipment to perform well servicing.
• Drive well services equipment to and from locations.
• Operate equipment during treatment.
• Identify and correct equipment malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain equipment to high industry standards.
• Monitor well-control parameters during job applications.
• Prepare apparatus for installation; perform pre- and post-inspections.
• Operate with a safety-first mindset.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Use continuous coiled tubing equipment to perform well servicing


• Drive specialized well services equipment to and from location


• Operate assigned equipment during treatment


• Recognize equipment malfunctions and correct them as necessary


• Perform general preventative maintenance on all equipment


• Maintain equipment to above industry standards


• Monitor well control parameters and calculations before and during job applications


• Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service, perform pre- and post-job equipment inspections


• Operate with a safety-first mindset

Job Requirements

• 2 years previous oilfield experience


• Previous experience in coiled tubing, drilling, wireline or snubbing is considered an asset


• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License


• Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, ODA, CSO preferred


• BOP and Wellhead Boom certifications are an asset


• Able to pass a pre-employment physical fitness assessment and drug screen


• Able to work away from home for extended periods
