A day in the life of a Coffee Bar Server: Working as a Coffee Bar Server is an opportunity to provide personalized service for our customers. You will have the opportunity to become a coffee and tea expert, and polish your customer service skills in a fast-paced, dynamic and friendly environment.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

1. No previous experience required

Key Responsibilities:

1. Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
2. Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
3. Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
4. Processes cash register payments by cash, cheque, credit card, gift card and debit
5. Prepares hot and cold beverages, including specialty drink preparation
6. Stocks and orders product
7. Performs light cleaning duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

1. Occasional lifting of up to 45 pounds
2. Constant hand coordination, gripping
3. Frequent computer and point of sale system use
4. Frequent standing, bending
5. Occasional walking, squatting
