Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Coffee Bar Clerk for our UBC location in Vancouver, BC. You will serve beverages and food, follow recipes, and assist customers with product knowledge. A cash register is used daily while maintaining a clean, well-stocked coffee bar area.

Qualifications

• Retail customer service experience is an asset.
• Demonstrates integrity, enthusiasm and a constructive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality beverages and products at the coffee bar.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards for drinks and food.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions.
• Share product knowledge with customers and upsell when appropriate.
• Maintain well-stocked, clean, and organized display areas.
• Ensure freshness and proper presentation of all items.
• Address customer inquiries to ensure a positive experience.
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Utilize various equipment safely, including knives.

• Working at our on-site coffee bar providing quality beverages and products.
• Following recipe and presentation standards for all beverages and food products.
• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Operating a cash register.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.

Compensation Details: $18.25 - $21.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
