Job Title: Mixologist (Evening Shift)

Location: The Orwell Hotel, Felixstowe

Department: Harry's Bar

Reports To: Bar Manager / Food & Beverage Manager

Hours: Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as required

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mixologist to join our team at The Orwell Hotel in Felixstowe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting exceptional cocktails and delivering outstanding customer service in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, and enhancing the guest experience during evening service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits.
2. Provide excellent customer service to all guests in a professional and friendly manner.
3. Create a welcoming environment and engage with guests to offer drink recommendations and upsell premium products.
4. Ensure the bar is fully stocked, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
5. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and surfaces.
6. Monitor guest intoxication levels and practice responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws.
7. Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
8. Assist with bar inventory and stock rotation as needed.
9. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist in a hotel or hospitality setting.
2. Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar techniques.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
6. Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
7. Basic food and beverage hygiene training is desirable.

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday from 3pm - 11pm
• Salary: £12.21 – £13 hourly
