Job summary

The Eritrean Canadian Community Centre of Metropolitan Toronto is seeking a Part-Time Soccer Coach to guide youth on the field and develop their life skills off the field. This role emphasizes youth development, teamwork, and positive community involvement within the Greater Toronto Area.

Ideal candidates will have coaching experience, a sport-related diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage multilingual youth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Sport or related subjects.
• In-person and virtual presentation skills.
• Lesson plan and teaching experience.
• Microsoft Office, PowerPoint skills are assets.
• Multilingual: Tigrigna and Arabic.
• Computer knowledge.
• Community work or related activities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
• Soccer player or former soccer player.
• 1 year coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Soccer coaching to youth kids.
• Leadership and life skills coaching.
• Help and coordinate the youth soccer match.
• Train youths' communications skills.
• Build awareness of the community activity among the audience.
• Assist the Coordinator in youth activities.
• Engage with individuals, groups, and communities to meet the organization’s priorities.
• Excellent demonstrated communication, organization, and coordination skills.
• Physical fitness.
• Perform other duties as required.
