General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada invites a co-op student to join the System-of-Systems (SoS) Systems Engineering team as a Systems Engineering Analyst for 8–16 months, contributing to the LC5ISR program. You will elicit requirements with DND, model mission scenarios, and develop end-to-end system interfaces, MBSE artifacts, and verification artifacts.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous documentation, and meeting program milestones, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student in an engineering or related discipline at a recognized university.
• Demonstrated initiative and strong verbal and written communications.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven capability to meet commitments and deliver high quality work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the customer (DND) to elicit requirements and define capabilities.
• Create activity, sequence, use case, and block diagrams describing missions.
• Develop system requirements, interfaces, and information flows.
• Maintain traceability from higher to lower level requirements and tests.
• Apply MBSE techniques to develop Operational and System Views (DNDAF/DoDAF).
• Support verification, validation, and test case development; produce VCRM matrices.
• Present status updates and conduct reviews with stakeholders.
• Deliver work products and meet program milestones.
