Job description

The Junior Inspector/Summer Student will assist the Contract Administration Team in overseeing transportation projects. This role involves supporting senior inspectors and the contract administration team in ensuring that construction activities comply with contract specifications, standards, and regulations. The summer student will gain hands-on experience in transportation project inspection and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of transportation construction projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications and standards.
  • Support senior inspectors in documenting construction activities and preparing inspection reports.
  • Help in reviewing and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with the contract administration team to resolve issues that arise during construction.
  • Conduct field visits to observe construction activities and gather data for reports.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspection activities and project documentation.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Basic understanding of transportation engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
