Job summary

Zeidler Architecture invites a motivated Architecture Student to join our Calgary team for a co-operative placement. You will assist across design and documentation phases, building practical experience within a fast-paced studio.

You will develop skills in Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and visualization while collaborating with project teams on compelling, real-world projects.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited architectural program and seeking hands-on experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and related design tools.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and motivation to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of presentation and drawing packages across project phases.
  • Assist in development of proposals and design competitions.
  • Build proficiency in BIM platforms and visualization tasks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain standards.

We are currently seeking a fresh graduate to join our team in Calgary for a co-op opportunity.

Job Summary

The Architecture Student supports architectural teams across multiple phases of project development, from early design to construction documentation. This role offers hands‑on learning opportunities in a fast‑paced, collaborative studio environment and is ideal for students seeking to gain practical experience and contribute meaningfully to real‑world projects.

Key Responsibilities
Design + Documentation
  • Support the preparation of presentation and drawing packages across all project phases, including master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and design competitions as required.
  • Build proficiency in BIM platforms such as Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and other design software.
  • Support visualization tasks including rendering, diagrams, and graphic outputs.
Project Support + Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to product and systems research to support design development.
  • Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.
Team + Culture
  • Actively engage in a collaborative, open studio culture and learn from mentorship by senior staff.
  • Communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
  • Participate in a 100% in‑office environment that prioritizes flexibility, cross‑functional collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety protocols and policies.
  • Able to work in a collaborative, in‑office environment (100% in‑office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross‑functional coordination).

  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail‑oriented and eager to learn within a collaborative team setting.
