Job Description

Jacob Bros offers Civil Project Co-ops hands-on experience and training to prepare you for a career as a Project Coordinator or Manager in the civil construction industry.

You will work on project sites in areas such as roads and highways, infrastructure, excavation, and underground utilities. Responsibilities include production tracking, scheduling, cost report management, change order preparation, inventory management, estimation, and surveying.

To qualify, you must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and planning to return to your studies after the Co-op.

Responsibilities :

  • Track production and prepare field reports
  • Prepare change orders
  • Maintain project files and records
  • Attend site meetings and record minutes
  • Process charts, graphs, drawings, and proposals
  • Assist with drawings, estimating, scheduling, and surveying
  • Conduct inventory checks and cost analyses
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related post-secondary program
  • Experience with project control software like AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
