Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op or Intern Student to join the Personal Debt Solutions team in Halifax from September to December 2026. The role offers hands-on experience analyzing client data, reviewing income, and preparing reports under supervision.

You will build relationships with clients and team members while applying accounting knowledge from your courses, developing problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• You are currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting.
• You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• You have proven leadership skills and can take initiative to seek understanding.
• You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to calculate and review income.
• Analyze client data, review financial information and creditor claims to prepare reports.
• Participate in other insolvency related tasks as required and support CPC team members.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
