Qualifications

Our Calgary, Alberta office is pleased to offer a co-operative opportunity to multiple ambitious Civil Engineering/Technology Students.

Reporting to the Materials Team Lead, you will spend your 8-month co-op program, May - December (or 2 consecutive 4-month terms) assisting our team in the field.

Your Contribution

Students will have the opportunity to be trained and to perform some of the following tasks:

  • Field testing of civil construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt
  • Learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings
  • Compaction testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt
  • Concrete testing; casting cylinders and performing slump and air measurements
  • Asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, and on-site sampling
  • Preparing daily test summary reports

The successful applicant will receive:

  • Technicians will be provided with a company truck
  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules

Your Profile

  • A Civil Engineering Student in recognized Canadian College or University
  • Valid driver's license, current driver's abstract, and insurance claims experience letter will be required
  • CSA approved laced steel-toed boots
  • Alcohol and drug testing may be required upon arrival
  • Must be able to work outside of normal working hours and any overtime assigned
