Position Title: Co-op – Investment Finance & Ops
Reports To:
Investment Data Analyst, Investment Finance, Data Analytics and Operations
Department: Asset Management
Term: Temporary Full-Time, Four (4) Month Contract
Work Term: September 2, 2025 – December 19, 2025

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Opportunity: We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Investment Finance, Data Analytics and Operations team at Equitable! If you've got an interest in investments and an aptitude for investment metrics and data analysis, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What you will be doing:

  • Support the Asset Management line of business with reporting and data analytics
  • Use analytical skills to identify and investigate data quality issues
  • Maintain various investment reports and identify areas for improvements
  • Document the process to enable ongoing operational reliability of data quality
  • Other duties as requiredfrom line of business



What you will bring:

  • Strong analytical abilities and an aptitude to solve problems creatively
  • Knowledge and/or interest in public and private asset markets
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with MS Access, Excel (e.g. pivot tables), or other data management tools
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Power BI is considered an asset
  • Nice to have: Ability to read/write VBA, SQL or Python
