Overview
The role of the Co-Manager is to lead the operational execution of the store to ensure exceptional customer experiences and drive profitable top-line sales growth. They drive personal sales and overall store performance by demonstrating and coaching the La Senza selling behaviors to create a high-performance selling culture within their team and achieve the store’s sales goals. They embody our values and represent the brand through their behaviors.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create a store environment focused on consistently delivering exceptional, positive in-store customer experiences and demonstrate company selling behaviors.
- Ensure execution and lead the sales leadership team to coach and develop associates according to the Company selling behaviors.
- Manage and resolve customer relations issues.
- Own the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to ensure the store is fully staffed according to Company guidelines.
- Manage the talent lifecycle of direct reports, including assessment, training, retention, career development, succession planning, and recognition.
- Lead and delegate the execution of all company initiatives as appropriate.
- Plan and facilitate leadership meetings, ensuring consistent communication across all positions.
- Promote a positive work environment and effectively resolve associate relations issues.
- Oversee physical inventory processes and develop strategies to reduce shrinkage.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, including damages, transfers, and compliance-related items.
- Maintain compelling visual merchandising strategies and presentation standards, including executing sell-down strategies.
- Analyze business performance and create SMART action plans to optimize results and ensure effective operational execution.
- Create weekly schedules, manage store payroll, and control other expenses.
- Ensure replenishment processes are efficient, keeping the sales floor stocked with all styles, colors, and sizes in line with brand guidelines.
- Manage safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee store housekeeping and maintenance.
- Lead with professionalism, guided by the Company values.
Key Success Criteria
- 1-2 years of retail management experience, preferably in clothing.
- Ability to foster exceptional customer service and optimize the Company selling model.
- Effective delegation, follow-up, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Talent assessment, coaching, performance management skills.
- Strong business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and non-business hours.
