Responsibilities

We're looking for a seasoned an innovative operator to drive our post-merger integration efforts as well as optimize synergies between our client cohorts. Once our complex acquisitions are complete, you will make the difference between a smooth ride to profitability and a catastrophic loss. Your role will be to ensure that the forecasted synergies are well-executed and that our umbrella establishments are run in compliance with our KPI and SOPs.

Your mandate:

  • Work with clients on the post-merger integration plans and lead their execution (employee training, overseeing renovations/repairs, marketing campaign, adapting schedules to strict internal control policies...).
  • Analyze client and target operations thoroughly.
  • Participate to qualitative due diligence process to help prioritize acquisition targets depending on multiple factors.
  • Determine hiring, software, financial needs per acquisition volume, their evolution across our strategic phases, and automation opportunities.
  • Work with CEO on FP&A, optimization between customer satisfaction and profit margin.
  • Work with General Counsel on labor law, zoning regulations, and other municipal constraints to structure operations in a compliant way.
  • Work with our restaurant consultant for menu engineering opportunities, experimental initiatives, and other ways of maximizing the bottom line of our umbrella entities.
  • Enforce and audit operational KPIs across acquired entities, ensuring non-compliance is detected and addressed swiftly.
  • Build and manage a lean operations team to execute integrations at scale as our portfolio expands.

Qualifications

  • Passion for challenging and unpredictable tasks.
  • Past experience as director of operations, owner or manager in a bar or restaurant.
  • Track record in multi-unit operations, turnarounds, or post-merger integrations in the F&B sector.
  • Strong grasp of operational analytics, scheduling systems, and cost control software.
  • Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to propose and execute operational innovations.
  • Experience navigating labor regulations, licensing, or municipal compliance during change of control events is an asset.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
