The Opportunity

Buildings account for 30% of emissions in North America and consume 40% of its energy—most of it from HVAC, lighting, electrical systems, and other equipment. New construction and end‑of‑life equipment replacements are the prime moments for energy‑efficiency upgrades—and a massive economic opportunity. North America spends over $400 billion annually on HVAC, lighting, electrical, and other building materials (a $1.7 trillion global market), primarily through a fragmented distributor network. Yet this quoting process remains slow, manual, and error‑prone—wasting millions in time and missed opportunities. Distributors have prioritized streamlined, e‑commerce‑style experiences, but quoting is still the main bottleneck to digital transformation and growth.

We are building HyperQuote, an AI-powered quoting platform designed to transform how building product distributors estimate, select, and source equipment and materials for projects. The timing is ideal—distributors are pushing digital sales, and advances in multimodal LLMs and computer vision can now tackle these workflows. We’ve validated the pain point with 30+ experts and customers, completed technical feasibility studies, and are developing real‑world use cases with early adopters.

Backed by Diagram, this venture will have the capital, network, and strategic support needed to scale into a successful venture-backed company. Diagram has significantly de-risked this venture’s product-market fit, technical risks and competitive advantage.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Co-Founder & CEO to take full ownership of the company’s growth and success. You’ll define and execute the vision, build and inspire a high-caliber team, guide product direction, lead go-to-market and commercial efforts, and drive fundraising.

Requirements

• Experience leading a business with full P&L ownership; ideally has built a company or product from 0 to 1
• Track record of hiring and managing high-performing teams
• Strong communicator with experience selling to customers, investors, and employees
• Demonstrated resilience and ability to work collaboratively in early-stage environments
