Our client, a leader in manufacturing in Brampton, ON, is looking for an experienced CNC Machining Supervisor to lead their midnight shift operations. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong CNC expertise who can balance people management, production efficiency, and quality standards.

About the Role

The CNC Machining Supervisor will oversee and guide a team of operators to meet production goals while ensuring safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in scheduling, troubleshooting, coaching, and optimizing machining processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of machining operators to achieve daily production targets.

  • Organize shift schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to production plans.

  • Perform and oversee machining tasks: CNC programming/setup/operation

  • Ensure consistent product quality by reviewing drawings, BOMs, and performing inspections.

  • Collaborate with the Quality department to investigate issues and drive root-cause solutions.

  • Track production performance, maintain accurate reports, and monitor labor efficiency.

  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company policies, OHSA, and WSIB guidelines.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment care procedures.

  • Foster teamwork, communication, and a positive work environment across the department.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education or university degree

  • Minimum 3+ years experience supervising CNC operations in a manufacturing setting

  • Solid knowledge of CNC programming/editing

  • Understanding of Lean, 5S, and manufacturing best practices.

  • ERP system familiarity (MRP scheduling) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Skilled in using hand tools, routers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment. Valid forklift license is an asset.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable with manual dexterity tasks, standing for full shifts, and occasional lifting.

Work Schedule
  • Midnight Shift

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.

  • On-site role with exposure to typical manufacturing conditions and PPE requirements.
