Forte Tooling Technologies in Winnipeg is seeking skilled CNC machinists to program and set up milling centers, create tool paths from design models, and collaborate on tool design to improve manufacturability. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience with CAM software, preferably MasterCam.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and setting up CNC milling centers.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and perform maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and clear recommendations.
• Experience with CAM software (prefer MasterCam).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and guidance to the team to support production and related problems.
• Create and program tool paths based on design models.
• Collaborate with design engineers on tool design to enhance manufacturability.
• Dismantle and repair or replace mold parts, units or fixtures, fitting and assembling parts and testing repaired tooling.
• Fit and assemble new tools.
• Setup machine tools and program CNC machines.
• Operate and maintain machining equipment to close tolerances and high precision.
